The journey begins in Sembalun Village, where the trail crosses wide savanna hills before gradually climbing to the spectacular Sembalun Crater Rim. From there, the adventure continues down into the massive caldera to discover the breathtaking Segara Anak Lake and its natural hot springs.
As the trek continues, you will climb to Senaru Crater Rim, one of the most scenic viewpoints on the mountain, before descending through the lush tropical rainforest of Mount Rinjani National Park to Senaru Village.

Your Rinjani adventure begins with a free pick-up service from various locations across Lombok, including Kuta Lombok, Senggigi, Mataram, Tetebatu, Bangsal Harbor, and the Gili Islands.
Our driver will transfer you to Senaru Village, located on the northern side of Mount Rinjani. This peaceful mountain village serves as the starting point for your trekking preparation.
Upon arrival, you will stay overnight in a comfortable private room with mountain views and private bathroom. In the evening, your trekking guide will meet you for a short briefing about the trekking route, safety procedures, and equipment check.
This is the perfect time to relax, enjoy the cool mountain air, and prepare for the adventure ahead.
The day begins early with breakfast at the guesthouse in Senaru. After breakfast, we drive about 30–40 minutes to Sembalun Village, the starting point of the trek.
Once the national park registration is completed, the trek officially begins across the wide Sembalun savanna, offering open landscapes and beautiful views of Mount Rinjani.
The trail gradually ascends through Pos 1, Pos 2, and Pos 3, where we take short breaks and enjoy lunch prepared by our trekking team.
In the afternoon, the trek continues through a series of hills known locally as Tujuh Bukit (Seven Hills). The final stretch, often called Bukit Penyesalan or the “Hill of Regret,” is the most challenging part of the day.
By late afternoon, we arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m). From this spectacular viewpoint, you can see Segara Anak Lake, Mount Barujari volcano, and the summit of Rinjani rising above the caldera.
Enjoy hot drinks while watching the sunset before dinner and an early rest in preparation for the summit climb.

Duration: 6–7 hours
The summit push begins very early around 2:00 AM. After a light breakfast and hot drinks, we begin the challenging climb to the summit of Mount Rinjani.
The trail consists of steep volcanic sand and loose gravel, making each step demanding but incredibly rewarding.
Around sunrise, you reach the summit at 3,726 meters, where you will witness a breathtaking 360-degree panoramaover Lombok, Bali’s Mount Agung, Sumbawa Island, and the vast Rinjani caldera below.
After celebrating at the summit, we descend carefully back to the crater rim camp for breakfast and a short rest.
Later in the morning, the journey continues down toward Segara Anak Lake, a stunning turquoise crater lake located deep within the caldera.
After lunch by the lakeside, you will have time to relax and visit the nearby natural hot springs, perfect for soothing tired muscles after the summit climb.

The morning at Segara Anak Lake is calm and peaceful. Enjoy breakfast by the lakeshore while surrounded by towering volcanic cliffs.
After breakfast, we begin the ascent toward Senaru Crater Rim. This section of the trail is steeper and more technical, with rocky terrain and ladders assisting the climb in some areas.
As we gain elevation, the views of the lake become even more spectacular, revealing the full beauty of the Rinjani caldera.
By the afternoon, we reach Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m) — one of the most beautiful viewpoints on Mount Rinjani.
From here, you can enjoy dramatic views of Segara Anak Lake, Mount Barujari, and the surrounding volcanic landscape, especially during the stunning sunset.

Duration: 3–4 hours
After breakfast at the crater rim, we begin the final descent through the lush tropical rainforest of Mount Rinjani National Park.
This trail offers a completely different atmosphere from the open volcanic terrain above. The forest is filled with tall trees, birds, and wildlife, providing a refreshing and shaded trekking experience.
Along the way, we stop for lunch at Pos 1 before continuing the descent toward Senaru Village.
By early afternoon, we arrive in Senaru Village, where your trekking adventure officially ends. After changing and refreshing, our driver will transfer you to your next destination.

Estimated trekking time: 5–6 hours.
The price depends on the number of participants in your group. Larger groups receive lower prices per person.
An additional USD 10 environmental fee per person applies to support mountain conservation and waste management.
