From the vast savanna of Sembalun to the turquoise waters of Segara Anak Lake, every step of the trek reveals a new and incredible view.
Senaru Village – Sembalun Village – Sembalun Crater Rim
Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or accommodation. Our driver will transfer you to Sembalun Village, the main starting point for the Rinjani trekking route.
Upon arrival at the Rinjani National Park Office, your guide will assist with registration and trekking permits.
The trek starts across the beautiful Sembalun savanna, passing several rest points along the way including POS 1, POS 2, and POS 3. The trail offers scenic landscapes of open grasslands and mountain views.
Lunch will be served at POS 2, giving you time to rest before continuing the journey.
After POS 3, the trail becomes steeper as we make our way up to the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m). Once we arrive at the campsite, you will be rewarded with stunning views of Segara Anak Lake and the Rinjani summit.
Enjoy dinner prepared by our trekking team and relax while watching the sunset from the crater rim before spending the night in your tent.

Overnight: Camping at Sembalun Crater Rim
Summit Climb – Segara Anak Lake – Natural Hot SpringWe then start the climb to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m). This is the most challenging part of the trek, but reaching the top will reward you with a breathtaking sunrise view over Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa.
After enjoying the incredible scenery and taking photos at the summit, we descend back to the Sembalun Crater Rim campsite for a short rest.
From here, we continue descending toward the beautiful Segara Anak Lake, located inside the volcanic crater.
You will have time to relax and enjoy lunch near the lake before visiting the natural hot springs, where you can soak and refresh your body after the long trek.

Return Trek – Sembalun or Senaru Village
After breakfast, we begin the final day of trekking.
You will descend through scenic forest trails and savanna landscapes while passing several rest points along the route.
There are two possible routes for the final descent:
Option 1 – Return via Sembalun Route
Trek back down through POS 3, POS 2, POS Extra, and POS 1 before arriving at Sembalun Village.
Option 2 – Descend via Senaru Route
Enjoy the beautiful view of Segara Anak Lake from Senaru Crater Rim, then continue descending through tropical forest trails toward Senaru Village.
Upon arrival at the trekking center, our driver will transfer you back to your hotel or next destination.
The price depends on the number of participants in your group. Larger groups receive lower prices per person.
An additional USD 10 environmental fee per person applies to support mountain conservation and waste management.
