Challenge yourself with our 2-day, 1-night Mount Rinjani Summit Trek, starting and ending at the Sembalun entrance gate. This fast-paced trekking program is designed for experienced hikers with a high level of fitness, ready to ascend to the summit of one of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanoes.
Over the course of two days, you’ll hike an average of 8.5 hours per day, navigating steep trails and high altitudes to reach the spectacular 3,726-meter peak of Mount Rinjani.

Start your Mount Rinjani trekking adventure with an early wake-up at 6:00 AM. Enjoy breakfast at 6:30-6:40 AM before a 45-minute to 1-hour drive to Sembalun Village (1,150m). Arrive by 8:00 AM and complete registration at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC).
Pos 1 (Pemantauan, 1,300m): A 2-hour trek through scenic trails.
Pos 2 (Tengengean, 1,500m): A 1-hour hike, followed by a short break.
Pos 3 (Pada Balong, 1,800m): Another 1-hour trek, where we rest for 2 hours while our team prepares lunch and hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, or lemon tea).
The 3-hour steep climb to Pelawangan Sembalun is challenging but rewarding. Set up camp and enjoy breathtaking sunset views over Segara Anak Lake, Sembalun Village, and Mount Rinjani’s summit.
2:30 AM: Wake up for a light breakfast.
3:00 AM: Begin the 3-hour 20-minute trek to Mount Rinjani’s summit (3,726m).
First 2 hours: Moderate climb.
Next section: Long but manageable trek.
Final ascent: Steep, loose volcanic scree—challenging but worth it!
At the summit, witness a spectacular sunrise with views of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake.
Return to Sembalun Crater Rim for a hot breakfast.
Trek 5 hours back to Sembalun Village, stopping for lunch at Pos 3 or 2.
Drive to Senaru to collect luggage, then transfer to your next destination (Gili Islands, Senggigi, or Mataram).
